Autumn Pregnancy Portraits in Pacific Palisades

When Jessica and Casey were first talking with me about creating their pregnancy portraits, I asked them about what kind of locale and feeling they were imagining. Because it's autumn, I knew that anywhere near the coast would be gorgeous because we're past the marine layer season, so we could look forward to a clear golden afternoon. We decided Pacific Palisades offered the perfect mix of shady rustic woods and sweeping vistas over the ocean.

The couple was fantastic. All I had to do was put them together, and they instinctively fell into the most natural, cute poses. They obviously enjoy holding one another. The tenderness and love was apparent, which lit them up as much as the gorgeous light.

We started out in Temescal Canyon, which is one of my favorite parts of LA. In just a short drive from Santa Monica, you are immersed in lush greenery. I always feel like I've really left the city.
